39 weeks and 5 days. wowza. after the 1st trimester, time just does its own thing and this 5th round was no different. however, we are ready, ready now. well, at least baby girl and i are. Sonny doesn’t start packing until i start contracting, but this is his 5th rodeo too so what can i say lol! give the video a listen; i listed my hospital bag essentials out below and tagged as much as i could to my LTK shop.
Movie night and pizza night are two traditions our family has enjoyed for years now! However, pizza nights are usually fun for only 5 out of 6 of us ; I typically have to prepare my own separate dish or heat up a frozen, dairy-free pizza for myself because of my lactose- intolerance. I have longed for the day when we could all finally enjoy the same pie, together.
another fun cooking class in the bag! i posted an IG reel from the good footage hubs captured; he is my camera man, my sound man, my chat moderator, and my last minute grocery shopper😬. I love using fresh ingredients and typically go get them the night before I teach. I forgot the purple onion and didn’t realize it until after I got home! ugh!! it happens… and I’m so grateful to have Sonny by my side helping me pursue my dreams.
happy 2022, OG blog readers, lol! thank you for being here yet another year we are blessed to see. guess what- FULL video of this Protein Pizza Dough up on my YT channel! leave us a review, a like, and subscribe to our channel to see more. recipe below!
i cannot and will not pick a favorite! no way no how. this reno is most definitely our kids’ favorite though! they’ve now got a pretty amazing game room to work and play in; this was Sonny’s vision brought to life with the help and resources of of some truly talented peeps.
When I tell you guys that I’ve struck gold when it comes to finding high quality food and more at unbeatable prices, you better believe me! Ever have to bounce around to a handful of stores to get all of your shopping done? Yeah, I don’t live that life anymore🙌🏽. I love that I can get the vast majority of my pantry staples at a solid, low price at ALDI. Let me prove it to you with this fancy, budget-friendly weeknight meal!
this recipe is super special to me cause i made it with my mommy ♥️. she was over visiting her grand babies and we did a “meatballs with mom” kinda thing for dinner one night!
just how…. is it july!? are you kidding me? like the summer is halfway over already y’all, sheesh. our summer is going quite well and i truly hope yours is too. we’re one vaca in the bag and hoping to squeeze in one more, Lord willing. have you taken a vaca yet or plan to? check out our trip to Kalahari last month if ya haven’t already.
the Sprouts Farmers Market #plantbasedgetaway blogger trip i went on this past june (recap right here!) opened my eyes to so many more awesome plant-based products! it’s bananas. i also did a blog post on some of my fave items out right now as well as why i’m even dairy-free in case ya missed it. Sprouts is doing a fabtastic job of keeping up with all these new goodies, whew!
got a 1-on-1 session with my girl, Amaka, bright and early this morning. i filmed a snippet of her squatting for two on my snap chat; did you see it!? hello, snap chat is WAY fun. apparently i've been missing out. sorry not sorry, periscope.

fact or myth: if you have never exercised (or its been a good while since you've done anything) then pregnancy is not the time to start.
MYTH! pregnancy is not the time to go for a new squat PR, give flag football a try, or train for a marathon... obvi! it's no excuse to spend almost 10 months on the couch either though. start with low impact things like brisk walking, swimming/water aerobics, and light/moderate, basic weight lifting. in most cases exercise helps fight back strong against fatigue, mood swings, aches, pains, stiffness, swelling, and discomfort.

for all prenatal and postpartum (doesn't matter how long ago you gave birth!) inquires, email me:

y'all. this bra. sassy, strappy, stylish, and most important, supportive. out of all the bras i've tested these past few months for my prenatal and postpartum fit moms, this was number one in my book, ladies! i could not wait to share this sneak peek! i have bought and gone through a ton of cheap sports bras over the years to support my active lifestyle, but eventually i began to purchase them with my handbag mentality. that just means i'm willing to shell out a little more than i normally would in exchange for top quality, durability, cuteness, color, and support all in one. i finally found that in this bra, no doubt.
fabric + features
Luxtreme® fabric is cool-to-the-touch and sweat-wicking
added Lycra® fibre bends with you and stays in great shape
pockets for optional, removable cups
designed to provide support for C/D cups - even 36DDD!
the back is gorgeous, right!? coral is one of my fave spring colors. i've put this thing through intense HIIT sessions, plyometrics, running/sprinting, and weight lifting, and it passed each one with flying colors. the 'girls' are always comfy and secure, and it never feels like i have an inner tube tucked under my arms. i do a lot of jumping in my classes but i have no nip slip fear because of the full coverage. my compression crops are heavily discounted right now and almost sold out!! i got them for black friday last year.
