Kosi's Big Girl Unicorn Haven

🦄welcome to my new room, guys!💕 (these tippy toes😂)

what a fun project this was. our big girl, Kosisochi Charlie, finally has her own room to frolic around in!

Delta Children blessed Kosi with the cutest furniture pieces. their sets start at $699 for 6 pieces; hers included a twin bed frame, dresser drawer, night stand, bookshelf, mattress, and sheets for the bed. yes, all that! what an awesome, affordable deal! 👉🏽also, if you use my code FITFOODIE, you’ll get a discount on your order!👈🏽 you have got to see more of their adorable sets to choose from.

Kosi’s 2nd birthday party was unicorn themed, so i actually planned to use most of the items i purchased for her party for her big girl room (oooor at least that what i told myself at the checkout counter at the time😁).

it’s finally ready🦄!

but first…

this transformation thoooo🙌🏽. this had been our guest room (aka Granny’s room) since we built our home in 07. all that light, birch colored furniture is from my room at my parent’s home with a few pieces added in over the years. our boys (8 & 5) have been bunking in their own room since 2015. once we found out Kosi was on the way, we knew this would someday be her room. we didn’t find out Kosi was a girl until delivery day but we were absolutely believing God for a she💕! big brother Chiso naturally wants his own room by now and Lord willing he’ll get it soon🙏🏽.

Kosi’s crib was in the boys’ room earlier this year so she wouldn’t be alone, but we moved her to the guest room eventually and it stayed this way (above) for waaaay too long😳.

y’all, shipping is F-R-E-E and the pieces arrived fast! Sonny began to assemble everything immediately and the instructions were straightforward and relatively easy according to him. my brother was a huge help and installed her tv as well.

thanks to Delta Children, Sonny, Matt, and the interior design skills of my girl Dai, we created a room Kosi absolutely adores! take a peek!

💜🦄a unicorn sleeps here🦄💕

Kosi’s new 3-drawer dresser is just the right height for her.

i love and appreciate the built in drawer stops to prevent them from rolling all the way out and possibly on to her little toes.

“it is not fancy hair, gold jewelry, or fine clothes that should make you beautiful. no, your beauty should come from inside you — the beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit. that beauty will never disappear, and it is worth very much to God.”

Dai & i found most of the unicorn decor from Hobby Lobby! they have two whole sections full.

i couldn’t wait to whip this gorgeous angel wing rug out for her room; it’s a perfect fit.

her nightstand has just the right amount of space for her lamp, a trinket or two, and eventually maybe an alarm clock. i tend to stuff my night stand with junk so i’m glad that’s not even an option here. lol. Dai suggested we get a personalized monogram made, so we scored a wooden, white one from 48HourMonogram.

Kosi doesn’t need railing on either side of her twin bed, but should we have another baby Egwuatu👀 and pass this bed down, they can still be attached. the decorative pillows are from Ross, Marshalls, and HL! i love the simple, regal design of her bed.

if you have any questions as to where we got a certain item, just leave me a comment and ask below! i’ve tagged a few here:

there go those tippy toes again😂

for our bedtime routine, Kosi chooses a book from her bookshelf that we read together either in her bed or under her canopy.

i found that adorable hook and unicorn graphic from hobby lobby too! Kosi sees her brothers go off to school every morning and cannot wait to go herself. i can!!!

i’ve had all these photo frames from Ikea for years and never used them! Dai’s wall gallery was such a great idea.

SO, what do you guys think of Kosi’s new room!?

if you love these Delta Children pieces too, don’t forget to use FITFOODIE for a discount when ordering!
